Launched earlier this year, the online auction site Wensy has grown in the past six months to a total of 2,400 registered members conducting $60,000 in net sales. Currently Wensy offers offer 21,000 listed items spanning a total of 22 categories.

Wensy has become more popular than many of the smaller online auction sites we've covered simply because all services to buyers and sellers are completely free.

While many sites offer free listing and charge only if you sell an item, Wensy provides online sellers full auction functionality as well as access to Forums and communication tools. There are no listing or final value fees.

For sellers, Wensy offers a choice of standard listing formats that includes auction, dutch auction, reverse auction, reverse dutch auction, classified ad and "request for quote," where you can solicit quotes for a product or service and then choose the best offer.

Those who list can also take advantage of several listing options that consist of homepage featured, category featured, gallery listing, highlight, bold, hit counters and auto-relist. Once you have items listed, you can choose to cancel, delete or end any listing. In addition to completely free auctions, Wensy also offers its registered members free online storefronts.

Wensy seems to be offering both buyer and sellers everything they need to complete a sale, and according to Wensy, because the site is free, members are able to sell items at a fair price and earn a better profit, and this helps to encourage more buyers to join the site.
