Poor Terrell Owens. The NFL star just can't seem to catch a break these days. For those of you who don't know who he is, Mr. Owens is a wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles football team who signed a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract last and is now whining to anyone who'll listen because he can't get the team to re-negotiate his contract after just one season. We should all have such problems.
Anyway, in the spirit of T.O. and the opening of NFL training camp just days away, ECommerce-Guide went hunting for that perfect eBay item to show our football spirit and dedication to football's most beloved player today.
Our favorite is the "I Love T.O." t-shirt available from seller "sritke."
"This shirt resembles the one T.O. wore in his SportsCenter interview on 11/01/04. You may see other copycat I love T.O. shirts on eBay, but this is the original shirt put on eBay the day after the interview!!!!!" the seller said.

Why is everybody always picking on poor T.O.? |
So, we're guessing this isn't the shirt he actually wore, just the one this person tried to sell the day after and never sold it. Somehow, this item has no bids and starts at a bargain basement price of only $7.99! We can't wait to show up at training camp wearing this comfy tee. Too bad T.O. will be home sulking and won't see how much we really care about him.
For the Eagles fans who have good taste in music, the Caravelles' "You Don't Have To Be A Baby To Cry" 33 rpm vinyl record might be of interest. We bet the seller won't want to renegotiate the sale afterwards either!
Moving on to more inspiring subjects, American Lance Armstrong is just days away from securing his record seventh, Tour de France victory. How amazing is that? If some of us had a fraction of his motivation, maybe we wouldn't be sitting here in our cubicles watching our figures. But we digress.
If you want to get in on the action, we found an authentic Discovery Channel pro cycling team hat. The Discovery Channel replaced the US Postal Service as Armstrong's team sponsor. Bidding was up to $31 last time we checked.
For the die-hard cycling fan, you might have a hard time passing up one of the rare Lance Armstrong Giro helmets available on eBay. Only 250 of these were made and the seller claims part of the proceeds will go to Armstrong's cancer-fighting charity.

"The Giro Boreas is a hand painted replica of the one Lance Armstrong wore to victory in the 1999 Tour de France - the second of his six victories in the world's No. 1 cycling event. It is one of only 250 made worldwide and comes together with the original certificate giving it the No. 221 of 250 autographed by Lance Armstrong and showing him wearing it in a high-quality color photograph," says the seller.
Protect your noggin and place your bid! Go, Lance!

What's News?
After stock market watchers saw eBay's stock take a painful nosedive this past year, the online auctioneer's recent earnings report caused its stock to jump by more than 14% this week.
"eBay achieved remarkable results in Q2," CEO Meg Whitman said in a statement. "Excellent momentum in the U.S. and Germany, as well as at PayPal, all helped deliver an impressive jump in revenues and profit."
Funny how Meg left out those higher store and listing fees that were imposed earlier this year. Hmm
.
Also of interest this week, we received word of a new report released by eBay showing "the number of people using the site as a primary or secondary source of income has grown to more than 724,000, a 68% increase from the 430,000 announced in 2004." That's impressive, but we're waiting for clarification on just how many are actually relying on the site for their primary source of income. Is it one? 723,999? We don't know, but we're looking into it.
