Masterpiece Theater: Gallery Services for eBay Sellers By Vangie Beal
April 23, 2008
My Auction Gallery (MAG) recently added some new features to its gallery and image hosting service for sellers listing on eBay, Overstock, JustBeads or BidVille. This online hosted service lets you display your auction images on their servers to produce a thumbnail gallery from all your current and active auction listings on these sites.
With a registered account, you simply provide your online selling details and MAG locates all photos from your live listings, generates thumbnails from the image files, then builds a single page with the thumbnails as well as links to the actual auction item pages. After sellers have successfully built their MAG page they can then update it by adding or removing items. They can also include a "My Auction Gallery" link button on their auction item pages that points interested buyers to their MAG gallery.
My Auction Gallery for eBay sellers offers new services for spring.
One of the new features recently added to the service is a Title View in the MAG Mini Gallery that can be dynamically displayed with or without Item Titles. This basically allows customers to switch between the two views with a simple mouse click. Specific items can be highlighted by creating a featured MAG Category in their main gallery.
Other features include a new automatic overnight gallery loading option that will load new auctions into both your Main and Mini galleries. MAG nembers simply list items on their preferred site, and that night any new item listings are automatically updated with a MAG logo or mini gallery logo and added to their MAG main and mini galleries.
Additionally, My Auction Gallery says that even more features are planned for release this year. MAG members can look for performance and usability upgrades in addition to options for creating customizable banners at the top of MAG Galleries. Also coming soon is the ability to launch auctions directly from MAG using a new interface that MAG plans to roll out in beta in the near future. MAG subscriptions are available for a monthly fee as follows: $6.49 (100 images), $8.49 (100-350 images), $10.49 (350-600 images), $12.49 (600-900 images) and $14.49 (900 images).
