The Case of the Disappearing E-Mail
By Robyn Greenspan
March 13, 2001

The Case of the Disappearing E-MailPrivacy is a growing concern and anyone that uses a computer is susceptible to having both personal and private information intercepted. The importance of privacy in today''s business climate encompasses the concerns of those spending more time in the office and therefore conducting personal business from the workplace computer, as well as the e-business owner who often transmits important e-business developments and secrets via e-mail.

If you use e-mail as a messaging tool for everything from an outline for the next big Internet development to a romantic note to a loved one, you should have some type of personal encryption method in place to prevent prying eyes. With SafeMessage you can compose, read and transmit e-mails in a veiled cloak of totally secure and encrypted privacy.

Part of SafeMessage''s appeal is in the simplicity of the application that both the sender and the receiver must have installed. The sender merely activates SafeMessage, logs in and chooses an activity from the console. Selections include the ability to send, view, configure and delete e-mails, as well as some other customizable options. The message is composed and the self-destruct feature can be configured to reflect the amount of time it remains viewable to both sender and recipient. In most other ways, the multi-encrypted message acts like ordinary e-mail except it is sent using SafeMessage''s proprietary system, rather than standard protocol. There are no copies that remain on any server anywhere.

Both sender and recipient may permanently delete the message at any time but SafeMessage will automatically eradicate all copies of the e-mail after four days. Not a trace will remain.

Privacy doesn''t come cheap but when you consider the value of the information that you transmit, it can be considered a bargain in some respects. SafeMessage''s pricing is available for annual or quarterly licensing subscription packages.

With SafeMessage''s secure encryption messaging system you can be assured that your personal and professional privacy is respected.
