eBiz Briefs: CRE Loaded, eBay, Amazon and Hosting News
By Michelle Megna
February 22, 2008

This week in e-commerce news are announcements of eBay selling modules, affordable hosting plans, a partnership between a coupon and data feed company, the results of the annual University of Michigan customer satisfaction survey as well as free tools for migrating your data from Zen Cart to CRE Loaded.

Making It Easy to Sell on eBay
Early Impact, an e-commerce software development company, recently announced the release of a new set of sales tools for its ProductCart shopping cart software that will allow ProductCart users to sell products and services on eBay, right from within their store management interface.

The new eBay add-on for ProductCart provides sellers with the ability to create eBay listings leveraging product information that already exists in their store catalog.

If you're new to eBay, you can take a product from your ProductCart store catalog and post it on eBay in just a few clicks, according to the company. If you're already an eBay seller, you can synchronize your inventory with ProductCart. Additionally, there is direct access to product details and images from your existing catalog to make the process of listing products easier.

The ProductCart eBay add-on is available for $395 per storefront. A ProductCart v3.x store license is required for use of the new Add-on. ProductCart v3 is available starting at $695 per storefront. Early Impact is part of the eBay Developers Program and the ProductCart eBay add-on is an eBay Compatible Application.

As a member of the eBay Developers Program, Early Impact leverages eBay's Web Services Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), which enable third-party developers to create Web-based applications used to conduct business with the eBay Platform. Mocha Grande, Gratis
Web hosting provider MochaHost just announced it has added new e-commerce solutions starting at $3.71 per month.

The new e-commerce solutions are available in two versions: the do-it-yourself version, or a customizable e-commerce version. The Basic e-commerce solution starts at $3.71 and includes a free site builder. It also includes support for over 500 Web designs, which can be used with any MochHost's shared hosting plans. New plans also include free Internet promotion packages that offer up to $50 of pay-per-click credits, a free newsletter tool and a free search engine submission tool.

Data-Feed and Coupon Site Partner Up
MerchantAdvantage recently announced a partnership with MyCoupons.com, a shopping engine that helps eliminate click fraud issues by charging a fee only when a coupon is redeemed, according to the company. MyCoupons also helps extend merchants' reach to customers who are seeking both coupons and products when shopping.

MerchantAdvantage says it is essential for e-tailers to have choices when feeding product catalog data to online shopping destination sites in order to find the best marketing channels for providing sales, leads, branding and increased return on investment. Now online merchants can seamlessly send their product catalog data to MyCoupons.com and expand marketing efforts to thousands of potential new clients, according to the company.

MerchantAdvantage provides a data-feed management solution that also offers shopping site optimization and analysis without charging fees for transactions, revenue share, or set up. The service feeds its clients product catalog to over 100 shopping destination sites, comparison shopping engines, affiliate sites and marketing channels, including marketplaces such as Amazon.com, Shop.com, eBay, PowerReviews, Google Product Base, TheFindocm and Yahoo Shopping, among others.
