Webchutney Joins Forces with WebSideStory
By Devin Comiskey

July 26, 2005

Webchutney, an interactive agency in India, Monday announced the launch of its web analytics practice in India in association with WebSideStory, Inc., a provider of on-demand digital marketing applications.

Through the agreement, Webchutney will include WebSideStory's HBX Web analytics service as part of its offering to "help clients measure and improve the effectiveness of their Web-based marketing campaigns," according to a company statement.

"Our analytics practice intends to put Web analytics at the heart of Webchutney's value-based methodology for providing organizations with best practices for improving their online initiatives," said Sidharth Rao, CEO of Webchutney. "On the heels of this launch, we are excited to announce this partnership with WebSideStory, a leader in the industry."

"As the leading interactive agency in India, Webchutney understands the importance of turning data into action," WebSideStory Senior Vice President Steve Pardue said Monday. "We are excited about the value our relationship will bring to companies across India who are ready to accelerate Web ROI. By coupling the insight gained through HBX and the guidance provided by Webchutney, companies will have a stronger competitive footing within the digital marketplace."

Using HBX, Webchutney clients will be able to analyze detailed visitor behavior patterns and trends in real time, including measuring the return on investment of marketing campaigns, identifying the optimal paths to conversion, and seeing what content, products and services visitors prefer. Webchutney assists companies in their online marketing, sales and customer retention efforts.

WebSideStory's HBX technology collects data directly from visitors' browsers through the use of beacons placed in the content of Web pages. This provides an "easy, cost-effective solution for clients," as there is no hardware or software to purchase and no Web log file reports to process. All the information is collected in real time and made available to clients through a convenient, online, graphical user interface.

HBX is part of WebSideStory's Active Marketing Suite, a line of integrated, on-demand digital marketing solutions. The Active Marketing Suite creates a single, shared environment in which online marketing professionals can leverage the metrics and reporting delivered by Web analytics to easily maximize their online business performance across multiple channels. The Active Marketing Suite was created by combining the Atomz site search and content management solutions with WebSideStory's Web analytics services.

With the launch of this practice, Webchutney will assist customers by defining and measuring Web site goals and metrics, as well as providing a range of key services. This includes strategic Web site design and assisting in the ongoing improvement and measurement of the world's leading Web sites.

According to Webchutney's statement, "Customers will benefit by having experts analyze their Web initiatives to drive strategic recommendations, so that they can more effectively achieve their goals, such as acquiring more visitors, converting more visitors into customers and finally, retaining customers by encouraging repeat business."
