New Site Allows Shoppers to Compare and Share
By Devin Comiskey

September 13, 2005

Online merchants take note; there may be a new venue in which to win over new customers or get into the minds of online shoppers. eShopperForum.com today announced the launch of its new shopping community site “to help online consumers find and share the best deals, insider news and reviews of the online shopping experience.”

The site is aimed at educating online shoppers with shopping reviews, comparisons and techniques. It offers shopping advice, insider tips on new products and moderated forums, plus the availability of coupons and coupon sites over a variety of product categories including toys and theater tickets, according to a company statement.

eShopperForum.com compares shopping and browsing experiences across the major online retailing sites including, Shopping.com, Yahoo, ShopZilla, Nextag, eBay, and Froogle. Current article topics include eBay Shopping tricks, "How to avoid using PayPal," "How to avoid being phished," and a "Comparing of Comparison Shopping Sites," which claims to be the first review of 10 comparison shopping sites. Additional stories include an overview of Hurricane Katrina relief donations on major online retailing sites, and a round up of Geek Gadgetry shopping on the Internet.

eShopperForum.com forums are led by category forum moderators and allow readers to post reviews, comment on articles and share tips. eShopperForum.com's "BrandZones" focus on news and online shopping experiences for specific brands in the online shopping world. The company said current “BrandZones” include tableware brands like Royal Doulton, Mikasa, and Spode, and the collectible including Breyer brand horse models and Sesame Street toys. The BrandZones offer insider “e-tailing” news such as previews of future product lines.

eShopperForum.com says its plans include expanding its coupon service and expanding the shopping categories as the holiday season approaches. At the launch, company spokesperson Tom Wolf said, "eShopperForum.com's goal is to become a trusted source for online shopping news and tips to help shoppers get the best out of their online experience - and to avoid problems like unreliable vendors. The launch of eShopperForum.com gives consumers more information and the power to enhance their online shopping experience."
