MarketLive, Omniture Boost E-Commerce Reporting
By Devin Comiskey

September 13, 2005

MarketLive, Inc., a developer of e-commerce retail technology and services and Omniture, a provider of on-demand Web analytics, Monday announced that the companies have entered into a technology and reseller agreement to integrate the Omniture SiteCatalyst reporting and analytics suite into MarketLive’s enterprise-class, e-commerce retail platform. The announcement came during this week’s Shop.org conference in Las Vegas.

According to a joint company statement, with the technology integration, the two applications will "work together to provide mission-critical data about the way people shop, thereby enabling customers to objectively track and analyze their online marketing and sales performance in real time. Customers will be able to respond instantly to trends and events on their Web site, as well as boost profits by identifying the most profitable campaigns, promotions and customer segments."

Through this relationship, both companies claim retailers will have the best-of-class e-commerce retail platform, along with industry leading, in-depth Web analytics.

With the new partnership, they claim that retailers can "capture, collect and organize real-time information about their online marketing initiatives and optimize marketing programs to meet the needs of customers instantly. With this joint solution, retailers will be able to increase revenue by making business decisions that have a direct and measurable impact throughout the organization."

"MarketLive’s stellar list of customers is a testament to the superior level of service they provide, and a joint offering gives customers essential data to evaluate the effectiveness of overall sales efforts, calculate the impact of marketing initiatives and formulate new ways to improve their Web site," said Josh James, CEO and co-founder of Omniture. "Our partnership with MarketLive truly enhances the way retailers do business online."

"Having a strong analytics solution is essential in realizing the practice of Intelligent Selling," said Ken Burke, CEO of MarketLive, Inc. "By delivering the MarketLive platform with an integrated Omniture solution, our customers can be assured that they are getting the most comprehensive e-commerce solution to help them drive higher sales and increase customer satisfaction."

'Comprehensive' Reporting Capabilities
SiteCatalyst is a "comprehensive, on-demand, adaptable solution for measuring Web site traffic, as well as monitoring visitor activity, advertising effectiveness, sources of sales and e-commerce transactions," according to the companies. SiteCatalyst delivers in-depth, real-time analysis that can scale to any aspect of a company’s growth — which reportedly gives mid-sized companies the ability to get up and running quickly and improve their online marketing initiatives. The tool also includes "dashboards" that come pre-configured with multiple views of different metrics including conversion ratios, most valuable pages, and revenue or success events.

MarketLive is incorporating SiteCatalyst into its core e-commerce platform and giving its customers full access to the product. The integrated solution will be available from MarketLive in October 2005. For more information, visit www.MarketLive.com or www.omniture.com.
