Bounces Eat ProfitsIn Alexis Gutzman's latest installment in her "Publishing Your Own Newsletter" series, she discusses the importance of maintaining a "clean" e-mail list, essentially meaning that all addresses are valid and deliverable. Not an easy feat, especially since more than 250 million active Internet users are cruising the digital universe.

FreshAddress provides a business solution designed to eliminate dead e-mail contacts and improve the deliverable rate. Called the "Total Email Address Solution (TEAS)TM," the process helps to "bounce-proof" your e-mail, resulting in more eyeballs per mailing.

E-mail marketers that utilize the Majordomo mailing list server can use a free FreshAddress plug-in to take advantage of all the TEAS features.

Of course, the forwarding concept works best if your e-mail recipient is registered with FreshAddress. By putting a link to FreshAddress on your site, you might be able to encourage a good portion of your customers to sign-up with the free, confidential e-mail address registry and forwarding service.
