Bugs, kinks, slow-loading graphics, 404''s, broken links, HTML errors - any of these can be damaging to your site. Sites with numerous errors look, and feel unprofessional. If your Web site is riddled with these annoying snafus, there will definitely be a negative impact on your site''s traffic, not to mention your sales.

You should periodically test your site with a diagnostic tool. Basically, diagnostic tools troubleshoot your URL and run your site through a series of tests. The results tell you where problems lie and what needs to be fixed.

It''s a good idea to schedule a diagnostic "tune-up" on a regular basis and especially after a major site overhaul. Your web host may already provide this service as part of your hosting package so double-check with them before signing up and paying for a duplication of efforts.
