Just the FAQs
By Robyn Greenspan

Make sure to include a list of "Frequently Asked Questions" (FAQ) when designing your site. It''s the compilation of questions that are asked most often and their respective answers. Users are now accustomed to checking a site''s FAQ whenever they need information so display the link to the FAQ prominently on your site.

Start by compiling all the anticipated questions into a well-organized page. Grouping the questions by topic helps to keep things neat and easy-to-find. Keep your FAQ current by adding to it whenever new questions arise or you significantly change your site content and/or procedures. Set up an email alias, such as questions@yourbusiness.com, so customers can contact you if the FAQ doesn''t address their needs.

Even if you believe that everything on your site is clear and easy to understand, there will always be someone that doesn''t share that belief. A FAQ helps the person who has encountered a problem to become a satisfied customer.
