Equifax Secure

Equifax Secure In January 1999 Equifax announced the E-commerce Solutions Suite as a new standard for personal and enterprise security, and privacy over the Internet and other networks. Equifax is a total outsourced solution that includes authentication of requesters, secure business applications, and management of digital certificates fir highly secure E-commerce. Equifax Secure application uses include bill presentment and payment, online customer service, home banking, medical records access, single sign-on, employee benefits management, secure document exchange, business-to-business procurement and supply chain integration. Certificate types supported include X.509 V3, SET, S/MIME, and IPSec. Authentication services are provided using their patent pending Remote Authentication Engine that leverages Equifax''s core-competency in credit collection and reporting services. Equifax Secure authentication services include:

  • Development of customer-defined authentication alternatives
  • Development and communication of privacy principles
  • Development and hosting of customer-branded registration Web pages
  • Development, hosting, and collecting of registration data through custom application forms
  • Development and hosting of customized authentication algorithms
  • Exception processing of marginal or rejected applications
  • Links to Certificate Management Services to generate and issue certificates

Equifax Secure Certificate Management Services include the following:

  • Development of certificate policies and CPSs
  • Access to processes for certificate requesters and remoteRegistration Authority administrators
  • Issuance of certificates after request approval from single or multiple RAs
  • Secure delivery of certificates using Netscape 3.0+ and Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0_ Web browsers
  • Customer root-key deployment to client systems
  • Renewal processing of expired certificates
  • Certificate revocation based on customer-defined standards and parameters
