Avoid E-Bandonment Issues

Are frequent shopping cart abandons plaguing your e-commerce site? One remedy may be to get into the minds of your customers. For example, imagine your site as a physical store. Where would you rather shop: In a place that is cluttered and messy with long lines or in a store that is neatly organized and you are checked out quickly?

Reducing the frustration levels of impatient customers can be accomplished by having a site that''s a pleasure to visit. Graphics should be attractive, load quickly and be relevant to the text. There''s no point in creating a lot of elaborate designs if they are slow to download. Even though a successful site must make an outstanding presentation, consumers aren''t going to wait for a bunch of pretty pictures.

Keep ''em Coming Back For More
People are more likely to bookmark your site and return if they know they can find something new. The best way to generate repeat customers is to update your site frequently and keep it interesting. Post timely information such as industry news, resources, events or links that keep your content fresh.

Designing your site for easy navigation is essential. Some serious planning is required to help customers find what they want and keep them coming back. They don''t want to get lost under layers of pages, products and poor design. There should be a logical order to how the pages link together and how to move around smoothly.
